For married musicians, I am sure that they are familiar with this type of setup – a gig/date. This happens when the wife decides to come along for a gig. We do this quite often, and I find it more enjoyable compared to just me being around with the band. Since both of us are not even casual drinkers, we don’t need wine to enjoy a date. Just being together is enough. Our last gig/date happened at the recent Gospel Jam event.

This is the usual scene when I practice my guitar, our youngest would come up and will want to join in. It’s a distraction, but it’s a distraction that ironically inspires.

When we passed by a local flower shop, my wife suddenly bugged me about it. To be honest, I’ve never been one who brings flowers – in my thoughts flowers are a waste of money because it will just die out in a matter of days. I’ve given her some on a few occasions, but I’ll always choose something to give her something that will last if given a choice.

However, I can’t help but wonder if I’m being too frugal about it. What I am planning to do, as soon as our house gets renovation, is to get some nice flower bearing plants and orchids – so that my wife can have them whenever they bloom.

Finally got my guitar back from maintenance and repair. Look who got to play with it first:

My mother recently gave me the old watch of my pops. I’ve never been a fan of expensive TAG Heuer watches because I feel that it will just be an expensive thief magnet. I prefer wearing cheap watches that I know will not attract the attention of muggers.

However after wearing it for a while, I began to appreciate its superb quality compared to my cheap watches. It’s great to look at and absolutely reliable. It’s been a year now and I’ve never worn anything else since I got it. I however choose to not wear it if in case I need to commute or go places where robbery is rampant.
