After days of sifting through the various eBay listings and possible candidates, I ended up buying a brand new Martin OMCPA4 acoustic electric guitar. I picked this one primarily because I wanted to finally have an all-solid acoustic guitar and ofcourse stay within the brand that my guitar heroes use. Another important aspect of this guitar that helped decide was its “OM” body, the body of the guitar is smaller than my older Martin which makes it more convenient to carry around and to play. One thing I forgot to consider was to buy a guitar stand from musicians friend. Hopefully I can still get one in time.

I’ve been looking for an acoustic version of this song ever since the album was released. Thanks to the uploader, JM seems to have more soul and breathes new life to his songs when he performs live with an acoustic guitar.

Ever sine I tried multieffects units, I have never looked back at stompboxes. The convenience and portability that multi-effects provide, not to mention the many types of sounds that I can achieve using them is stimply astounding. However I’ve heard of arguments in favor of traditional stompboxes where in they are supposed to sound better. Having been gigging for so many years now, I still find this to be a joke, and I know from experienced that a well setup multieffect pedal easily beats any giant pedalboard – even when well setup! Still this confidence on multieffects doesn’t stop me from looking at the danelectro french toast and other new stompboxes, I am thinking of getting a few of the essentials, just so I can leave my multieffect (line6 Pod HD) to further lessen the load i carry during gigs.

Now that I have a good acoustic, solidbody and semi-hollowbody guitar, my next goal is to finally own a good guitar amplifier. I’ve been looking at various brands, including the Vox Night Train and the one from Orange. However, after watching a good demo video, I am now seriously considering to buy fender hot rod deluxe at GC!

This great sounding tube amp however may prove to be a challenge for shipping companies. Here’s hoping that this will push through within 2013!

I wrote a song years ago that I’ve wanted to record for the longest time. I already have an image in my head of how I want the music to play out, and I was hoping hat I could arrange it with orchestral instruments. Since I was too busy last year, I am hoping to finally get around to getting my some of my original tracks recorded and mastered properly.
